John's journey
During the 1990s John developed and presented a series of modular photography workshops which were sponsored by Kodak, Lastolite, LowePro, Ilford Films, Polaroid and other manufacturers. Over 1,000 students took part in day and weekend events. But John was also developing as a wedding and social photographer, gaining a reputation for capturing beautiful moments at over 300 weddings. With a simple and strong style, he favours genuine interactions and emotions over staged shots. As a semi-retired photographer, he offers the best prices in the industry without compromising on quality or service. There's no pressure to commit and no hidden charges at all. From 1st January 2024 I no longer cover weddings.
Away from photography John and his wife volunteer for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, as Lorna is deaf and has a hearing dog. John is also Chair of the Kensworth Village Hall Management Team and is resident photographer for all their events.
